The English Premier League club Manchester United is set to save around £50 million in yearly wages due to the recent release of the players. It can massively help the Red Devils to build up the team in a new way under the new management for the upcoming season (2022/23).

Apart from the retirement of the English goalkeeper Lee Grant, Man United have released the players like Uruguayan forward Edison Cavani, and the midfielders Jesse Lingard (English), Juan Mata (Spanish), Nemanja Matic (Serbian) and Paul Pogba (French). All these released players are set to end their official contract with the Red Devils at the end of this month as there are very few chances for the club to add some transfer money by selling them to the other clubs.
However, Man United are reportedly ready to save the yearly wages amount of almost £48.1 million due to the exclusions of these players. Out of these £48.1 million yearly wages, Paul Pogba (£15.08 million) and Edison Cavani (£13 million) reportedly hold more than 58%.
However, while Man United reportedly spent almost £215 million yearly wages last season for the senior team, the £48.1 million yearly wages are just more than 22% of their last yearly wages budget for the players.

However, while Erik ten Hag-led new management team is focusing on setting up a good team ahead of the new season, this £48.1 million yearly wages can still prove very useful for them. The strong wages can attract the top players in the club.
Manchester United are likely to sell some more players from the squad. While their transfer money will play a useful role for the struggling club to add some talented names to the team, their wages can also help the club move more smoothly.
