Manchester United has officially announced that Cristiano Ronaldo will wear the 7th jersey number in their club. Man Utd posted a picture on Twitter with his shirt no. 7 stating that it is official that cr7 will wear this jersey number.
CR7 will be in flying colors with shirt number 7 at Old Trafford. Edinson Cavani who had been at the old Trafford, from earlier, and used to wear the shirt, initially handed over his shirt to the Portuguese legend, at the start of the campaign.
It was announced that Cavani will wear jersey number 21 which Daniel James used to wear earlier, and got departed to Leeds United at present.

The Red Devils posted a tweet with a picture of Ronaldo and Cavani. Ronaldo showed his great gratitude to Cavani for his grand gesture. He said that he wasn’t sure that it would be possible again or not to wear the jersey number again. He hugely thanked his fellow teammate stating him “EDI” for his incredible move.

Cristiano Ronaldo came to Madrid and played a season with the jersey number 9. At that time, club legend Rahul Gonzalez wore that jersey for his final season at Low Blancos. With the departure of Gonzalez, then Cr7 is wearing the 7th jersey number which never changed.
He wore it on its legacy at Madrid, wore it for Juventus as well, and is wearing it for his National team Portugal. And now he will officially wear it for the Red Devils. The shirt number 7 has some legendary players marked with its name, which was previously worn by some iconic players like George Best, David Beckham, Eric Cantona, and Bryan Robson.
