Dutch professional and Barcelona star player Luuk de Jong is all set to make his move for Cadiz. His spell at Camp Nou seems to be coming to an end, and on the other hand, another La Liga club, Cadiz FC, is soon to close the deal for the Dutch centre-forward. The only thing that is left to execute the deal is the player’s, i.e., Luuk de Jong’s confirmation of the move.
Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo disclosed the news at first, Alvaro Cervavera will finally be able to achieve what he wanted that is to bring the Dutch footballer to his club. Rumours have also stated that star soccer player Diego Costa might be on his way towards Cadiz CF, however, it seems like the club has found their needed man in the form of the Sevilla striker.
Luuk de Jong for Barcelona
Though Luuk de Jong hasn’t been much prolific for Barcelona, Blaugranas wouldn’t be pleased to let De Jong go. For Barcelona, he has appeared for 9 La Liga matches and scored 1 goal, and 3 UEFA Champions League matches, without scoring a goal. Still, in Barcelona’s mind, probably there had been no plans to let an experienced player like De Jong go.
However, nothing can happen now, whether Barcelona had plans to keep him or not, Luuk de Jong is himself ready to make his move. Only his official confirmation is left to execute his deal to Cadiz.
Luuk de Jong came to Camp Nou as a temporary solution at the end of the summer transfer window. However, with the arrival of Barca manager, Xavi Hernandez, it seems like De Jong is not in the coach’s plan, as he has played only eight minutes on the pitch since he has taken over.
