    Luis Suarez couldn’t sign for some clubs based on certain clauses in his contract

    Uruguayan star footballer Luis Suarez and the Red Devils i.e., Manchester United were at odds for much of his time with Liverpool mostly aiming around the episode where the striker was found guilty and abusing racially Patrice Evra. However, currently, it has now emerged that there was a clause of transfer to Camp Nou, i.e., Barcelona FC which prevented Suarez from ever signing to the iconic Old Trafford club.

    It is indeed very difficult to imagine there ever being any interest in Luis Suarez from Man United for the above-mentioned reasons, however, it wasn’t something Los Clues or Liverpool would risk. Some sources state that it is detailed that how this specific clause was embedded into the contract of Luis Suarez with the Blaugrana which eventually prevented him from signing for Premier League’s Man United.

    Other clubs able being unable to sign Luis Suarez

    It is understood that Suarez would also have been unable to join the Red Devils even on a free transfer after his contract expired at Camp Nou. Besides, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain were also believed to be have been the clubs dwelling on the same boats being unable to sign the Uruguayan.

    For Atletico Madrid

    The great Uruguayan currently plays for the La Liga club Atletico Madrid, on a 2-year contract, which is going to end soon in 2022. However, reports state that Suarez desires to play for Atletico Madrid and is confident in keeping his performance to high standards. The 34-year-old came from Barcelona to Estadio Wanda Metropolitano following the expiration of the contract for Los Blaugranas.

    Atletico Madrid is currently in the 4th position at the La Liga points table and would certainly like to better their position more, and move to the top, with Suarez aiming to contribute to this journey more.
