Loki is a crime-thriller, science-fiction, superhero-based upcoming American web series. It is directed by Kate Heron and created by Michael Waldron. This series is based on Marvel’s comic character Loki by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, and Jack Kirby. This series is produced by Marvel Television which has also produced previous TV series of MCU.
From September 2018, Marvel studios started developing a number of limited series based on supporting characters from the MCU films, and Loki is one of them. Loki was confirmed in November 2018 after the joining of all the casts in 2019. The filming began in January 2020 in Atlanta, Georgia. But due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the production has been stopped in March, but later that year, only the production resumed from September and completed in December.
Loki is a story of Loki itself, a God of Mischief who is back once again. He was previously present in all three Thor movies ( The Avengers- 2012, Infinity War- 2018, and Avengers: Endgame- 2019), who were dead in the previous movies. But he is back again, how is he back from the dead?
Well, it is all possible because of Marvel. Marvel loves to rewind everything, and the same thing happens with its characters also. In this series, the version of Loki is from an earlier timeline. In this series, it is the event that takes place after the event of Avengers: Endgame. After stealing the tesseract during Avengers: Endgame, an alternative version of Loki has brought into the series.
Loki Synopsis
After stealing the tesseract during the events of Avengers: Endgame, an alternative version of Loki has been brought forward in front of the mysterious Time Variance Authority (TVA), a bureaucratic organization that monitors the timeline that exists outside of time and space. In this series, TVA gave him two choices – whether his face is being erased due to bring a “time variance”, or he has to help fix the timeline and stop a great threat. But unfortunately, Loki ends up trapped in his own crime-thriller, traveling through time and altering human history.

Will there be a Season 2?
Yes – mostly, it was heard that season 2 is already under development from November last year.
Marvel Studios VP of production and development Nate Moore echoed that in April when he told IndieWire: “I think there’s a lot of storytelling in Loki that’s really irreverent and clever and cool, but also lends itself to multiple seasons in a way where it’s not a one-off.”
Loki season 2 is reportedly set to start its product in early 2022. It was heard that it seems like Hiddleston will be back with more mischief.
