    Karim Benzema is going to receive the Champions League award for best player, in Istanbul, Thursday evening. Thus, marking the beginning of a prize journey that will culminate at the Ballon d’Or in the coming months.

    Both Benzema and Real Madrid are delighted that the Frenchman has been recognized after the team lifted the 14th Champions League trophy last season.

    Both the parties are said to be working on a contract extension as well. Real Madrid is soon to announce an extension until 2024.

    The club plans to involve Karim Benzema in all activities, and the player feels strong enough to carry on until that time. It is due to his body, his mentality and his complete identification which has earned the player this new contract with Real Madrid.

    Real Madrid and French striker Karim Benzema has been named UEFA’s Player of the Year for 2021/22.

    He will be declared to the best player of the 2021/22 Champions League season, with Carlo Ancelotti serving as the best coach of the tournament.

    Soon after collecting the mentioned award, Benzema will receive MARCA’s Pichichi award, the Onze Mondial, FIFA’s The Best award and Ballon d’Or prize, which will be presented in Paris on 17 October.
