The fourth edition in the John Wick saga, John Wick: Chapter 4 has once again been postponed by Lionsgate, shifting the Keanu Reeves lead franchise about a year until March 2023. The shockingly disappointing announcement turned out to be bittersweet for the audience since it came with an exclusive new teaser.
It portrays the current iconic switchboard operators in the unpopular Continental Hotel with the exclusive date on display on the chalkboard. Initially, the movie was supposed to be released by May 2022.
John Wick Chapter 4 Delayed: Fans are Baffled
The unexpected announcement came as a big blow for the fans. The movie was wrapped up back in November this year and had a release date already. However, reports suggest the fourth entry of the film will shoot more footage in Japan, in 2022.
Reportedly, the new entry will be named John Wick Chapter 4: Hagakure. It will explore the in-depth assassin code mythos.
As per the other reports, the studies made this uniform decision concerning the ongoing global situation, due to the pandemic. People have been returning to the cinema hall after the latest release of the highly anticipated Spider-Man, but the spread of Omicron can lead to a bigger shutdown. Hence, the studio is trying to keep it safe but the speculations are high yet.
John Wick Chapter 4 Star Cast
The previous edition, John Wick: Chapter 3 Parabellum concluded with a strong thriller, showing the titular character hurt and on the run. The upcoming one will include a revenge plot, against the people running the criminal underworld: The High Table. The cast includes Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgard, Ian McShane. As of now, the release date has been fixed for March 2023.
Fans might be super excited to wait for watching Keanu Reeves on the big screen. The Matrix: Resurrections is streaming in the theatres now. Reeve’s is again seen as the cyberpunk messiah Neo, throwing a John Wick.
