    Isle of Dead: Cast, Release Date Everything the Audience Needs to know About the New Walking Dead Spin-Off

    The acclaimed series that displays the story of the zombie apocalypse, The Walking Dead, is set to have a spin-off series where actors Lauren Cohan (Maggie) and Jeffrey Dean Morgan will be seen. Reports suggest, the new series will have a name Isle of Dead, will be set in New York, consisting of six chapters. Expectantly, it will hit the big screen in 2023.

    Maggie and Began traveling to a post-apocalyptic Manhattan long ago isolated from the mainland. The city in ruins is full of the dead and inhabitants who have made New York City their own world full of anarchy, danger, beauty, and terror.

    Isle of Dead: Is it the First Spin-off for the Franchise?

    This isn’t the first spinoff of the franchise as fans have already witnessed series like The Walking Dead: World Beyond, which had two seasons, and the anthology series Tales of the Walking Dead, which will be premiering this year. According to further reports, there will be upcoming series with Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride, and hence it will not be astonishing that the franchise has a longer life span regardless of the fact the final season has already been released.

    New Walking Dead Spin-Off: What Will be its Focus?

    Dan McDermott, president of Entertainment for AMC Studios, the Isle of dead will stretch the narrative around two spectacular characters that fans have loved and hated: Maggie and Negan, amazingly acted by Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

    Further, it helps them explore a corner of this universe, set in Manhattan island, with an astounding skyline that displays a very different meaning, when seen through the lens of a zombie apocalypse. 

    This isn’t the first time when the two actors will be seen together in Isle of dead. Previously they portrayed Batman’s parents in Zack Synder’s Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice.
