Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni has released a teaser of a very big announcement on Sunday at 2 PM IST. He took his social media page on Sunday saying that he has very exciting news to share on September 25. His fans were quick enough to assume several things including his retirement. The world cup winning skipper retired from International cricket in August 2020. He’s still a part of CSK in the Indian Premier League.
Tomorrow, Indian skipper Indian MS Dhoni will be sharing some exciting news through a Facebook live event.
Almost 15 years ago, the Indian squad that was relatively young and inexperienced was captained by MS Dhoni defeated Pakistan by five runs, and won the first T20 World Cup at Wanderers in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Dhoni was last spotted in the United States watching a match concluded US Open. The media also spotted the cricketer cutting a wonderful cake after he was introduced as an honorary member of the Metuchen Golf and Country Club (MGCC) in the USA.
After his announcement, rumours are spread that MS Dhoni may announce his retirement from IPL. Though, earlier, the CSK skipper confirmed that he’ll continue to guide the Yellow Army in IPL 2023. Chennai is the second most successful film in IPL though 2022 was the worst season for the franchise, ending at 9th position.
Ravindra Jadeja was leading the CSK franchise in 2022 but the team didn’t fare well. That led the management to bring back MS Dhoni as the skipper in the mid-way.
Dhoni isn’t that active on any of his social media handles. He has been active on Facebook lately but his last post on Instagram was in January 2021.
This has led to a huge assumption among fans about his retirement.
