    IPL 2022: The downfall of Mohit Sharma

    The Gujarat Titans had recently revealed their team jersey for IPL 2022. The 15th edition of IPL is about to kickstart from March 26. The franchise also named some of their net bowlers and one of them happens to be 2014’s Purple Cap winner Mohit Sharma. The reports say that the new entrant of IPL GT has roped pacer Barinder Sran and senior pacer Mohit Sharma as their net bowlers for the upcoming season. It is also in reports that the pacers helped to groom the young players for the Indian Premier League at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

    However, the die-hard cricket fans couldn’t believe that Mohit Sharma who was once a part of CSK’s squad is now a net bowler.

    In IPL, Mohit Sharma represented CSK, KXIP and Delhi Capitals in IPL. He also achieved the Purple Cap during the 2014 edition and had taken 23 wickets from 16 matches at an economy rate of 8.39. he has 92 scalps in a total of 86 IPL matches.

    He was also a part of the Indian squad of 2014’s ICC World Cup in Bangladesh where the team had gone till finals. He was also a part of2015’s World Cup team, where India reached the semi-finals but got defeated by Australia.

    Sharma was at the peak of his career in 2013 and 2014, Sharma had a dip in his performance and things went downfall for him when CSK was suspended and started playing for Kings XI Punjab. He played for 14 matches in the first two seasons but couldn’t make a good impression. He made a comeback in CSK and played for Delhi Capitals in 2020.
