MS Dhoni has announced his retirement from International cricket 20 months before but that didn’t decrease his brand value anyway. Before IPL 2022, CSK’s former skipper MS Dhoni had signed five brand endorsement deals in just 28 days.

After signing the five deals, Dhoni’s brand deals stepped up from 128 to 133 real quick. The 40-year-old wicketkeeper-batter currently had a brand valuation of $61.2 million, ranking fifth in the Duff & Phelps Celebrity Brand Valuation Report 2021.

Dhoni has been a part of a wide variety of commercials. Starting from Sunfeast Yippee!, Boost to GoDaddy and Khata Book. The best thing about him endorsing brands is that he’s known for doing commercials that resonate with his personality.

As per reports by Financial Express, MS Dhoni charges INR 3.5 Cr- 6 Cr per year for a single endorsement. It’s lesser than Virat Kohli who charges 7-8 Cr per year for an endorsement. Earlier, CSK’s favourite star appeared in 54 brand advertisements on television in the year 2021 which made him the most popular Sports personality on TV.

“Mahi is among the most celebrated cricketers of our times, His choice of brands is versatile, and he often views his associations from a business lens too. Dhoni has promoter stake/equity deals/directorship in a few companies he endorses, including F&B start-up Copter 7. Even if he retires from the IPL, his pedigree is such that his well-planned endorsement career will soar in years to come.”- said Bhairav Shanth, co-founder.
