    BCCI is preparing to add two new teams before IPL 2022 to make it a 10-team tournament. They are also planning to organise a mega-auction before the next IPL.

    So, in order to make it a fair competition, BCCI are preparing a blueprint of the new IPL franchises, Player retention policy and a mega auction.

    As reported, BCCI are thinking to bring in a new player retention rule. Each franchise can retain 4 players with the maximum overseas player up to 2. The others will have to be Indian players.
