The Blue team introduced two refreshed Tiger Lake-U processors with a slight boost in both CPU and iGPU performance at the Computex 2021. Now, it’s being reported by Digitimes that Intel could face tight supplies for its newly launched processors for laptops.

It seems Intel did undermine notebook vendors’ plans of launching new laptops with these new Tiger Lake-U refresh processors. Now, this coupled with the ongoing shortages of certain ICs will limit new notebooks with these new processors into the market to challenge AMD’s Ryzen 5000U powered notebooks.
As per Digitimes report, this will put pressure on the supply chain in releasing notebooks with the new processors in the third quarter of 2021, according to their industry sources.
