Intel has introduced Application Optimization (APO) support for up to 26 games, enhancing performance on its Core Ultra 200S and 14th Gen CPUs. The newest update to the Application Optimization software, which can be referred to as APO in some third-party documentation, now brings compatibility for an additional 12 titles. Intel calls out the inclusion of some competitive favorites as well as titles from the AAA category now having been optimized for Intel Core processors.
Intel APO Now Available In 26 Games
Intel APO supports Intel Dynamic Tuning Technology (DTT) for better performance, battery life, and temperature control for your Intel hardware. This software manages the resources, allocating them on the fly to the most active of your applications and keeping new games playing as well is all about.
The latest titles supported include Company of Heroes 3, Counter-Strike: 2, Cyberpunk 2077, Dirt 5, Dota 2, Dreams Three Kingdoms 2 (PRC), F1 22, Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker, Fortnite, Guardians of the Galaxy, Metro Exodus, Naraka: Bladepoint, Red Dead Redemption 2, Riftbreaker, Serious Sam 4, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Strange Brigade (VLK), Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, Total War: PHAROAH, Total War: THREE KINGDOMS, Total War: WARHAMMER 3, Watch Dogs: Legion, World of Tanks, World of Warcraft, and World War Z.
Counter-Strike 2, and Dota 2 are some of the most-played games on Steam; boast hundreds of thousands of concurrent users. Having AAA games including Cyberpunk 2077 and Red Dead Redemption 2 completed will see these titles having better compatibility with the current Intel hardware, with the new series in line to receive support from Intel APO being the Arrow Lake Range chips, which are the latest series to receive support for Intel APO.
At the time of writing, only Intel 12th to 14th-generation CPUs can take advantage of Intel’s APO, and many users have indeed seen performance improvements. However, it’s important to note that the Intel APO functions optimally only with Core Ultra 200S (Ultra 7 and Ultra 9) and 14th-generation Core i7 and Core i9 CPUs. Regarding Intel mobile processors, only the Core i7 14700HX and Core i9 14900HX have full support for Intel APO, while other CPUs, including Core Ultra 5, 14th Gen Core i5s, and all 12th and 13th Gen processors, have limited support in Advanced Mode.
