India’s first appearance in the finale of the U-19 World Cup was in 2000 and since then the team has come a long way winning five World Cup titles. India has shown their ability and potential to the whole world in the U-19 team. 1. Yash Dhull
The young batter has a lot of potential in his craft as well as captaincy. The player led Delhi U16, U19 and India A U19 sides. He has given a spectacular performance in the Vinoo Mankad trophy. The youngster scored 302 runs in five games at a stunning average of 75.50. He is an aggressive attacker in bowling with a blend of patience that will take him a long way.
2. Harnoor Singh
Harnoor scored 191 runs from 3 games at an average of 63.66 and a strike rate of 83.77. He believes in taking calculated risks in batting that provides a decent sense of reliability.
3. SK Rashid
Shaik Rasheed is an all-rounder who comes with the rare art of leg-spin. He is also known to be a phenomenal batter and scored a century against India B in the recently concluded youth tournament. In the tri-series against India B and Bangladesh, he scored 125 and 30 respectively.
4. Raj Angad Bawa
Raj Bawa is one of those rare fast bowlers who believe in grinding continuously and providing a hard environment for the batters. He doesn’t own those outstanding numbers but has a huge potential. In a recent youth tournament, he claimed 4 wickets that were his best haul.
5. Rajvardhan Hangargekar
Rajvardhan has already claimed two quartets and picked up 3 wickets against Bangladesh in the recently concluded U19 tri-series. An important aspect of his bowling is the discipline that allows him to maintain a stringent line and length giving minimal room for the batters to free their arms. He will be an important individual for the Indian team as the West Indian tracks have a lot for the pacers and medium pacers alike.
