    ICC Test Rankings: Ravindra Jadeja takes back the World No. 1 spot as an all-rounder, replacing Jason Holder

    Ravindra Jadeja is again the World No.1 all-rounder according to International Cricket Council (ICC) Test rankings. He impressed everyone with his performance against Sri Lanka in the recent Test series. He mustered a total run of 201 and picked 10 wickets in the two-match Test series. He snatched West Indies player’s Jason Holder place from the World No 1 spot.

    Ravindra Jadeja couldn’t play international cricket for the past few months due to knee troubles. He was on a break on the important series against South Africa and West Indies but he made his mark by scoring 175 runs against Sri Lanka in the Mohali Test. He took a total of 10 wickets in the Test match against Sri Lanka in the two innings. He was awarded the “Man of the Match” honour for his extraordinary performance.

    Apart from Jadeja, Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin is in third place. He has 341 ranking points and is at the 3rd spot, short of 16 points from Jason Holder. Ashwin is India’s second-highest wicket-taker in the Test with 442 wickets and against Sri Lanka, he scalped 12 wickets and a half-century.

    Shardul Thakur had given a spectacular performance in the recent test series for which he could make his name in the top 202 list. Thakur gave a very good performance against South Africa but India lost the series 1-2. Axar Patel joined him in the top 15 rankings. He only played the second test where he took three wickets.

    The top 10 list consists of players like Shakib Al Hasan, Ben Stokes and Australia’s Mitchell Starc.

    Pakistani skipper Babar Azam gave an incredible performance against Australia during the second Test that was hosted in Karachi. He scored a total of 196 runs in 425 deliveries and Pakistan drew the match with Australia. Due to his performance, Babar Azam skipped 3 spots and reached no.5 in the rankings chart.
