Wembanyama was measured barefoot. On October 2022 his official NBA height was 2.21m as an 18-year-old. Now, as a 19-year-old, it’s 2.23m.
During the recent months, Wembanyama’s alleged height has been stated as ranging from 2.18m to 2.26m, officially solutioning the riddle of the actual height without trainers of the youngster who is ready to dominate the NBA in the years to come.
The second tallest player in NBA
Wembanyama is 2.23m tall and that makes him the second-tallest player in the NBA. First is Boban Marjanovic who is 2.25m tall. Because NBA measures the players without trainers, it causes some to ‘shrink.
Before the 2019-2020 season started, the NBA stated that the players had to be measured in the absence of trainers to have their official heights. Resultantly, some players had to ‘shrink’ between three and five centimeters.
Wembanyama is looked upon as one of the most talented and skilled names in this generation. He began his professional life with Nanterre 92 in 2019. Two years after that, he moved to ASVEL and bagged the Pro A Title in his only season with that team.
Playing for France in the nationals, he has led his team to two silver medals at the youth level. It includes the FIBA U-19 World Cup where he hammered the record of FIBA record for blocks per game in a single tournament.
