The Jon Snow series will be a sequel to Game of Thrones and will therefore follow the adventures of Kit Harington’s character following the events of the original series finale.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, HBO is developing a Game of Thrones spin-off series about Jon Snow. The series will be a continuation of the original show and will therefore follow Snow’s adventures following the events of the Game of Thrones finale.
About the Sequel Series for ‘Game of Thrones’
Kit Harington is set to return in the role, the publication said. Snow was introduced as the bastard son of Lord Eddard Stark, the head of House Stark who joins the Night’s Watch, a military order that protects the Seven Kingdoms from threats such as savages and the White Walkers beyond the Wall as he sees no prospects ahead of him.
It was later revealed that Snow’s true heir was a real Targaryen and that he was descended from a marriage between Prince Rhaegar Targaryen and Eddard’s sister Lyanna Stark.
Although the story didn’t have the main character as such, Jon Snow was the next. With a single note at first, he grew into a compelling if the fairly traditional hero in later seasons, thanks in no small part to Kit Harington becoming a really good actor.
As members of his family begin to die in the South, Jon has no choice but to remain a brother of the Night’s Watch. The brothers vow not to concern themselves with the affairs of the rest of the kingdom. You can’t get married and have children. The only family they have are other brothers from the Night’s Watch.
Jon learns about the threat posed by the White Walkers is real and looming, earlier than most. And the kingdom must be united if humanity is to survive against them. He goes to Dragonstone to meet Daenerys. He even asks the Lannisters for help.
The Snow’s story continues
It will be interesting to see how Snow’s story continues. He was prophesied to be the king of the realm thanks to his unique heritage, but that title passed to his cousin, Bran the Broken. The character has a lot of potential and her adventures can be explored in different parts of the vivid and detailed world created by George RR Martin and other characters like Sansa Stark and Arya Stark and others can appear in cameos.
