And as mentioned, he always fell a bit short to win the Champions League, but reached the finals on three different occasions.

He embarked on a journey with the Azzurri in 1997, played nine major tournaments for his country from 1998 to 2016, and he has marked his name as one of the legends of the Italian football team. He has been a phenomenal goalkeeper on both club and international phases, and as mentioned before he indeed redefined the role of goalkeeper to a whole new level.
