Amazon Prime Video has unveiled the trailer of Shakun Batra’s relationship drama film Gehraiyaan. This film is looking like a tale of dreams and also about such unrequited desires of the two actors and finding love in each other.
It also reveals the guilt of being unfaithful for their partners like Dhairya Karwa and Anaya Pandey respectively. The first look teaser was dropped by the filmmakers. It is expected that this film will take the audience into the deep of their passionate romance.
Gehraiyaan: Plot
In this love drama film, we will see Deepika Padukone who will play the role of Alisha who is a 30-year-old millennial woman who has been stucked in such a monotonous relationship and also a dead-end career. Their life of her just turned upside down until she meet her cousin Tia and her fiancé, Zain played by Siddhant Chaturvedi comes into her life.
Alisha is like inviting complications while she and Zain begin an affair. It has set in a rain-drenched Mumbai and also in the nearby towns, it seems the moody trailer reveals many scenes in which the characters are looking very horny with each other like they have half been hit by guilt, jealousy, and lust.
We will also watch Alisha and her partner’s relationship that is coming apart at the seams with such instant attraction that she has been with Zain while they just meet for the first time. The honeymoon phase is very short-lived like they are both to be confronted by such repercussions with their actions. It could be argued that the two-and-a-half-minute trailer reveals many things, but to be very honest it is a solid job to establish the tone of the movie.
Gehraiyaan: Cast
This film is featuring Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Pandey, and Dhiarya Karwa. It seems that Chaturvedi has been broken out after the supporting turn with Zoya Akhtar’s last film Gully Boy that had been chosen like India’s official submission for the Oscars in 2019. Ananya also debut in 2019. Karwa was seen in the sports drama 83. Deepika is a name in the Bollywood industry. She had made her debut opposite Vin Diesel in 2017’s xXx: Return of Xander Cage.
However, Gehraiyaan is mainly co-produced by Viacom 18 Studios, Dharma Productions, and Batra’s Jouska Films. This movie is co-starring Naseeruddin Shah and also the filmmaker/actor Rajat Kapoor.

This film will release on Amazon Prime Video on 11th February 2022.
