“If they lose, they still win because Morocco has never made it this far. I’m so proud of this team and to call Morocco my home.”
The dreamy journey to Morocco
The African nation has already won millions of hearts with its excellent World Cup journey. They entered the round of 16 and snatched a sensational victory against Spain in a dramatic penalty shootout. Again, in the Quarterfinals, they were brilliant against Portugal to eliminate Cristiano Ronaldo’s team 1-0 from the World Cup race.
They entered the semi-finals with immense hope. Unfortunately, the dreamy journey came to an end after a 2-0 defeat against France in the semis.
