Forza Horizon 5 Racing to PS5 This Spring with Full Content

The first multiplatform game Xbox could have on its hands in 2025 has been announced: Forza Horizon 5 is headed to PlayStation this spring.

Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios developed the game, but as PS5 developers, Panic Button, the studio behind ports for Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, Forza Horizon 4, and Apex Legends, will bring the game to the PS5. And the PS5 version will have cross-play support, allowing for players on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC to unite in their expedition throughout the Horizon Festival.

Forza Horizon 5 Heads to PS5 in Spring 2025 with Cross-Play and Full Content Available

PlayStation players will be able to access all the content currently available on Xbox and PC versions of Forza Horizon 5. This includes nearly 900 cars, 40 themed updates, and two full expansions.

At launch, users can also find paid content, including the popular 2022 Hot Wheels expansion, available to purchase in the PlayStation Store. This means that PlayStation players will have a fully featured experience from the start with both free and paid expansions.

Alongside the PS5 release, a new content update titled Horizon Worlds will be available across all platforms. This one gives players the chance to revisit a selection of the community’s most loved Evolving Worlds that were released, plus some other surprises. Per an official blog post, players should look forward to new content to add to their Forza Horizon 5 adventures.

This development follows the trend of Xbox first-party games also appearing on PlayStation, as Sea of Thieves and Hi-Fi Rush came before Forza Horizon 5 last year. As the newest Forza Horizon game, Forza Horizon 5 is not the newest Forza game, and yet it is among GameSpot’s best racing games. Forza Horizon 5 for PS5 will be available this spring, with the option to wishlist the game starting today on the PlayStation Store.
