Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 is nearly upon us, with some major changes compared to the sword-filled first season. In addition to a new crime-themed setting and a new heist mechanic, there will be new weapons, vehicles, and collaborations in the new season, which begins on February 21.

Epic Games concluded Season 1 with an impressive live event that saw a giant NPC battle, leaving a mysterious glowing object on the map. A sticky grenade launcher, electrified baseball bat, rocket drill, and more are all confirmed — thanks to the battle pass trailer. Players will also see a new item called Meltanite used to break into vaults and security vans. We can also look forward to dual-wield shotguns and a Sub-Zero ice mythic weapon.

Fortnite has had several heist-themed seasons over the years, but this one is stepping it up — we’ll be performing mobile heists rather than just opening up vaults. New Map Lured from the City Mega City from Chapter 4, the layout for its new map serves up more nostalgia-infused throwbacks for the season. Collaboration rumors suggest the inclusion of Fast & Furious characters Dominic Toretto and Han Lue, along with their iconic cars.

Additionally, there is speculation about a crossover with the Yakuza/Like a Dragon franchise, aligning with the release of its new spinoff. Other rumored collaborations include James Cameron’s Avatar and potential WWE-themed cosmetics.

Epic is also working on new customization features, allowing players to use Festival guitars as pickaxes and potentially turning certain character shoes into equippable kicks for all skins.
