    Filming Starts for Hansal Mehta’s Scam 2003

    The filming of Scam 2003 has kicked off, as confirmed by Janela Mehta. The season will be focused on the 2003 Stamp Paper Fraud by Abdul Karim Telgi. The new season is a sequel to the critically-praised Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story. It is an adaptation of the Hindi book Reporter ki Diary, by journalist Sanjay Singh, who has the credit of breaking the scam story.

    Hansal Mehta took to his Instagram to share a picture of the clapboard from the sets. He also tagged the series crew in the post, including producer Sameer Nair, casting director Mukesh Chhabra and writers Karan Vyas and Kiran Yadnyopavit

    Saand ki Aankh fame Tushar Hiranandani directs Scam 2003, with showrunners Hansal Mehta. Applause Entertainment in collaboration with StudioNEXT produces the series. 

    The creators announced the series, Scam 2003 last year. They said the show will display the life of Telgi, born in Khanapur in Karnataka. It will capture his journey to be one of the masterminds behind one of India’s most shrewd scams scattered across various states, that shook the entire nation. The filmmaker is yet to disclose more about the actors appearing in the upcoming season.

    Mehta is directing the character drama series Scoop for Netflix at present.

    After the first season had much critical acclaim, it would be interesting to see how the next season goes. Fans would be way too excited too, to see how the story is unfolded in the display. More details regarding the cast and release date are yet to come into the limelight.
