FIFA Friendlies: The head coach of the Indian men’s football team, Igor Stimac, has named 38 Probables for the preparatory camp starting from March 10 in Pune. It is planned ahead of India’s FIFA Friendlies against Bahrain and Belarus.
The players whose clubs would be playing the semi-finals of the ongoing Indian Super League will be joining the camp later on when their club commitments end.
The list of players will be shortlisted later for the FIFA-friendly match, and the contingent will fly to Bahrain on March 21. The blue tigers are scheduled to play Bahrain on March 23, and Belarus on March 25.

FORWARDS
The forwards in the squad are – Sunil Chhetri, Rahim Ali, Manvir Singh, and Liston Colaco.
MIDFIELDERS
The midfielders in the squad are – Lalengmawia, Sahal Abdul Samad, Yasir Mohammad, Ashique Kuruniyan, Aniket Jadhav, Lallianzuala Chhangte, Bipin Singh, Jerry Mawihmingthanga Udanta Singh, Vikram Pratap Singh, Anirudh Thapa, Pronay Halder, Jeakson Singh, Glan Martins, Brandon Fernandes, and VP Suhair.
DEFENDERS
The defenders in the squad are – Pritam Kotal, Ashutosh Mehta, Seriton Fernandes, Asish Rai, Rahul Bheke, Sandesh Jhingan, Deepak Tangri, Narender Gahlot, Chinglensana Singh, Subhasish Bose, Akash Mishra, Mandar Rao Dessai, and Roshan Singh.
GOALKEEPERS
Prabhsukhan Gill, Mohammad Nawaz, Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Amrinder Singh, Dheeraj Singh.
The head coach feels that playing against better teams is the best way to level up your own game. He also admires the boys for working hard for their clubs. He expects the players to show some resilience and creativity to the matches as the two International Friendlies are part of their preparations for the third round of qualifiers.
Starting from June 8, India will be playing the finals of the AFC Asian Cup China 2023 qualifying matches in Kolkata. By the way, it’s the first National Senior Team call-up for these players – Prabhsukhan Gill, Mohammad Nawaz, Deepak Tangri, Roshan Singh, Vikram Pratap Singh, VP Suhair, Aniket Jadhav, and Jerry Mawihmingthanga.
