    Euro 2020: Spain has 17 players on standby in the parallel bubble squad for COVID-19 emergencies

    The Spanish squad for Euro 2020 has recorded 2 positive cases for COVID-19. Spanish captain Sergio Busquets was the first player to test positive followed by Leeds United player Diego Llorente.

    In order to tackle the COVID-19 positive cases, Spain had kept 6 players on standby in the parallel bubble squad. Rodrigo Moreno, Pablo Fornals, Carlos Soler, Brais Mendez, Raul Albiol and Kepa Arrizabalaga were training in the parallel squad.

    Now, 11 U21 Spanish players have also joined the parallel bubble squad. Alvaro Fernandez, Oscar Mingueza, Marc Cucurella, Bryan Gil, Juan Miranda, Gonzalo Villar, Alex Pozo, Brahim, Martin Zubimendi, Yeremy Pino and Javi Puado are the 11 players who will stay in the Spanish capital in the parallel bubble sqaud.

    Spain will play their first Euro 2020 game on Monday, 14th June against Sweden in Seville’s La Cartuja.
