Tandem: A Tale of Shadows and The Evil Within 2 are the free games available from the Epic Games Store from October 26 to November 2. Even though the Epic Games Store doesn’t run a significant mystery game campaign in October as it does in December, it still knows how to celebrate the Halloween season.
Eternal Threads and The Evil Within are the two current free games on the Epic Games Store, both of which are accessible from October 19 to October 26. The Evil Within is a survival-horror game developed by Shinji Mikami, widely known as the designer of the Resident Evil series, in contrast to Eternal Threads, a first-person puzzle game. Tandem: A Tale of Shadows and The Evil Within 2 will take the place of Eternal Threads and The Evil Within on October 26 at 10:00 a.m. local time, with Epic Games Store users having a week to claim those free games for their collections as well.
Epic Games free games list for October 2023
- Eternal Threads (October 19 – October 26)
- The Evil Within (October 19 – October 26)
- Tandem: A Tale of Shadows (October 26 – November 2)
- The Evil Within 2 (October 26 – November 2)
From October 26 to November 2, Tandem: A Tale of Shadows and The Evil Within 2 will be available for free on the Epic Games Store, coinciding with Halloween. Given this, Halloween should come as no real surprise that the games go wonderfully with the eerie holiday. The Evil Within 2 is yet another survival-horror title by Tango Gameworks, whilst Tandem: A Tale of Shadows is a puzzle platformer with some eerie visuals.
Users of the Epic Games Store who haven’t played the games yet will probably enjoy that the launcher is offering away the first Evil Within game for one week and the sequel for the next. Both of these games are excellent for Halloween. The Evil Within 2, while still obviously a survival-horror game, does contain a little more action and even some open-ended parts that explore with open-world level design, whereas the original Evil Within is renowned for being more of a pure horror game.
