Barcelona great Xavi Hernandez has been back at the Camp Nou after 6 years as the manager. He has replaced the recently sacked Ronald Koeman. He has been entrusted with the job of bringing back the glory days at Barcelona.
Along with Xavi, another former Barcelona legend can return to the club as a player. Brazilian right-back Dani Alves can make a surprise comeback to the club. He previously played for the club from 2008 to 2016 alongside current manager Xavi and they have won everything on offer at the club level.
Dani Alves has spent the last year or so with the Brazilian club Sao Paulo, however, he left the club in the summer and has chosen to take the rest of 2021 off. So now he could return in January to Barcelona.
He is currently looking for the right club to finish his career with, and according to reports in Brazil, that could possibly be his former club Barcelona.
According to a report by UOL via Marca, Alves will meet with Barca officials this week to discuss a possible deal, starting in January. It’s also reported that Xavi will have the final say on any deal with Alves.
