Cyberpunk 2077 patch 2.2 has been released by CD Projekt which makes major improvements to the game’s customization features. Dubbed ‘Express Yourself’ and crafted in partnership with Virtuos, the patch aims at adding ways to personalize your experience in-game. Available today, the update adds a variety of features including a better vehicle customization system.
Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.2 Brings Enhanced Customization, Johnny Updates, and Photo Mode Overhaul
One such feature is the new TwinTone paint job system, which allows players to scan cars they see in the city and apply their paint schemes to their own rides. It brings an extra aspect to the game, mixing exploration and vehicle expansion. Changing a car’s color and avoiding detection by the police is one of the biggest reasons players find themselves on the run from the high authorities, as it can help lower their wanted level.
Ten previously unbuyable cars now can be bought via the Auto Fixer website, such as rides from the base game as well as the Phantom Liberty expansion. The update also improves Johnny Silverhand’s presence in the game with the character now appearing in the passenger seat around 25% of the time during driving sequences. This adjustment also helps with immersion since Johnny is always on V’s mind.
There’s Photo mode too, which gets a full overhaul with additional camera controls and lights, and the ability to spawn up to three NPCs to take photo-ops with. In V’s apartment, the players can tune the depth of field, adjust light sources, or display their own photos in a new gallery feature. With 112 new assets, the character creator has also been expanded, giving V more facial features and eye colors to play with and even a ‘Plain to Punk’ randomizer for that unique character looks.
Other adjustments include changes to gameplay mechanics, bug fixes, and performance improvements, especially for PC players. Patch 2.2 is being example of a better Cyberpunk 2077 experience in a way in visuals and depth of gameplay.
