The Portuguese legend, Cristiano Ronaldo has stated that for whom he is going to play for the upcoming season. Reports state that the Manchester United striker will retain his contract with his present club for the next season as well.
Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Manchester United last summer from where he started his football journey all along. He came back home after nine years being with Real Madrid and three years with Juventus. The Portuguese striker who is considered as one of the greatest of all time aims to secure a sixth European Cup which will tie him up with the legendary Paco Gento.
Cristiano Ronaldo for United
As Ronaldo states that he will play for Man United in the upcoming season, the Red Devils will be also happy to extend their contract with CR7. Though Manchester United has overall gone from an off-form, Ronaldo has continued to contribute for his team, and there’s absolutely no reason that they wouldn’t sign him again.
For the 2021-22 season, Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 6 goals in 7 matches for United in the Premier UEFA Champions League, and 12 goals in 24 matches at the Premier League. Man United has been going from a tough phase, as they have been knocked out of the UCL by Atletico Madrid, and even Ronaldo couldn’t even do anything.
Though that doesn’t seem like it makes much difference to it, and they will surely extend at least another year’s contract with their star player. On the other hand, Ronaldo is also determined to secure one more European title, which will tie him with Paco Gento and will also bring him up in the first rank of having the most European title wins.
