The Portuguese legend, Cristiano Ronaldo’s journey for the Red Devils, i.e., Manchester United hasn’t been a sweet one, as he was stormed off before the full-time whistle, in their match against Tottenham Hotspur. This latest incident regarding CR7 has aroused speculations in the media as well as among his fans that his journey for the Premier League club might have become greatly sour at present.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s refusal to come as a substitute

The incident happened with the matter when Man United star Cristiano Ronaldo refused to come to the pitch as a substitute in his team’s win over Tottenham and this eventually threatens to tarnish the legacy of the legendary forward player.

Though it has been also speculated that, there’s much justification behind this frustration of Cristiano Ronaldo as he’s been used sparingly by Erik ten Hag. Based on this fact, his anger was indeed evident as he saw his club sealing a decent victory over the Spurs at Old Trafford with a score of 2-0.

    The match

The Red Devils primarily dominated their opposition as they looked good more or less at every point of time in every part of the field. The first goal was scored by Fred just at the opening of the second half in the 47th minute, and Bruno Fernandes registered the second one in the 69th. Real Madrid was also way ahead of their opposition in terms of shots played and the shots on target, though Tottenham was able to offer a tough fight in terms of ball possession, pass, and pass accuracy.

Judging the normal psychology of a man, who has accomplished so much in his career, came to the club the previous year from Juventus, and even played at the same club in the early phases of his career, the frustration of Ronaldo based on the current circumstances is believed to be justified by many.
