‘Clipt’ is one kind of application made by the OnePlus’ experimental app development team (OneLab). It is a cross-platform clipboard tool with similar functionality. By making this type of application, OnePlus definitely challenges to most popular Apple’s iPhone & Macbook.
Now one of the things that makes the application so crazy, is by using ‘Clipt’ text, images & all other files can be sent easily between devices. OnePlus says its forum posts, “In the permissions, you’ll see we request the read and write of your Google storage, but Clipt can only download the files it creates as it’s siloed. In the app or extension we keep the last 10 items available to you, but after that it auto deletes so it won’t fill up your storage,”.
One thing which will definitely drive you guys insane is that ‘clipt’ is also available for Android & PC (Windows, macOS, Linux) through the google chrome extension. So it is not necessary that you must have OnePlus phones to use this app. It will also work on other Android devices. But for iPhone users, will have to keep patience. Because ‘Clipt’ for iOS is currently in development.
Till now, it only works on only google chrome extension and not capable of other chromium browsers. This thing is necessary to keep in your mind. But the app’s development team is working to make this app capable for other chromium browsers such as Brave & Edge. Even in the future, it may support Firefox.
