The legendary West Coast rap icon has appeared in countless commercials, hosted television shows like Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party, owns the Death Row Records label, is a Def Jam Recordings executive, runs his own cannabis company, and is now a playable operator in the Call of the Duty video game.
Snoop Dogg’s character will appear in Season 3 Call of Duty: Mobile, Vanguard, and Warzone, according to a Call of Duty blog. On Monday (March 20), Snoop shared the news with his 71.4 million Instagram followers, along with a screenshot of his avatar. “SNOOP DOGG IS COMING TO CALL OF DUTY,” said the headline.
He added, “he D O Double G is back in Call of Duty, and this time I’m in the freakin’ game! Excited to be working with the COD team to bring some fly features for you all to enjoy. It’s dope….. y’all can play like me and get these sick items that have Snoop written all over them.”
The Snoop Dogg Operator Bundle for Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone will be available on April 19 at 10 a.m. PT, however the Snoop Dogg in Vanguard and Warzone is different from the Snoop Dogg in Call of Duty: Mobile.
The Snoop Dogg Operator Bundle from Warzone and Vanguard features ten items, three of which are exclusive to Vanguard, as well as a full Operator progression track. Weapon XP for Snoop’s chosen weapon from Vanguard, as well as three alternate costumes and other cosmetic items, are available at each of the 20 levels of Operator growth.
The Lucky Draw version of Snoop has him “decked out head-to-toe in a 24K gold embroidered outfit” and includes a “new signature weapon based on a fast-firing Legendary SMG that’s gold-plated and diamond-encrusted.” The weapon’s death animation has been compared to the “lights of a mini-concert” that gets “even flashier” when players take out more people.
