New information about a few upcoming Call of Duty games appears to have surfaced as a result of a significant new leak. Closed alpha tests for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile took place over the past few months (which also resulted in gameplay clips for the upcoming game being leaked), and data miners have been able to snoop around in the alpha files to find information, images, and concept art for both the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and the upcoming Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, which is allegedly in development at Treyarch and scheduled to release in 2024.
The leak, which was compiled on Reddit, mentions a variety of weapons that will be in Modern Warfare 2 when it releases later this year, including various types of assault rifles, submachine guns, pistols, sniper rifles, and more. It also appears that swimming will be a new multiplayer mechanic, which is consistent with earlier leaks. Perks, killstreaks, field enhancements, and other things are also addressed.
Importantly, a number of the game’s maps have also been exposed. A museum, an oil field, and various maps for the Ground War mode are among these interesting maps, one of which is situated on a Grand Prix track and will also have day/night settings.
It appears that the rumored PvPvE mode DMZ will be located on the same map like the one being utilized in the upcoming Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 because it is included in the leak. That was also mentioned in some previous breaches. Speaking of Warzone 2.0, it appears that this leak also confirms the interrogation mechanic that was previously revealed.
Along with the names of the weaponry in the upcoming Call of Duty game from 2024, which may or may not be the next game in Treyarch’s Black Ops series, concept art for two of the game’s levels, Stealth and Pillage, has also leaked online.
