The IPL 2022 mega auction has just ended this weekend. Chennai Super Kings, who are one of the most successful teams in IPL have decided not to buy one of their legendary players over the years, Suresh Raina. Along with that, they have signed a Sri Lankan cricketer, Maheesh Theekshana. These two incidents combined together has enraged the CSK fans who are basically located in South India.

Sri Lanka has been accused of torturing and killing Tamils, so CSK was banned from signing any Sri Lankan cricketer previously. But now after a change in the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, the rule hasn’t been in implementation and CSK signed Theekshana in the IPL 2022 mega auction. This act has hurt the emotions of the Tamilians supporting CSK.

The fact that Chennai Super Kings could have signed Suresh Raina but preferred not to sign him, has also not gone done well with the fans. So this issue has enraged the fans who are tweeting with this hashtag #Boycott_ChennaiSuperKings on Twitter.
