Barcelona, as club president Joan Laporta has stated, is eager to bolster its squad in the forthcoming January transfer window.
However, the Catalan club’s task would be more difficult than initially anticipated due to the club’s current financial predicament as well as various financial fair play restrictions. Barcelona is considering possibilities that do not require a large upfront investment. Instead, they’ll focus on loan transactions with a buyout option at the end.
Olmo and Sterling
Dani Olmo of RB Leipzig and Raheem Sterling of Manchester City have both been mentioned as possible targets for the club. In the case of Olmo, it appears that he will be too expensive for the club to pay. Sterling, on the other hand, could be a nice choice if negotiations with City go smoothly.
Barcelona has remained tight-lipped about their transfer targets, but we do know that they want to bring in players who feel undervalued at their current clubs and aren’t getting the game time they deserve.
