Barcelona has made contact with Oscar dos Santos playing at Shanghai Port. Oscar has a contract with Shanghai Port until 2024. Oscar is now currently the fifth highest-paid football player.
Barcelona’s target is now Oscar dos Santos after they signed Ferran Torres from Manchester City. Barcelona was able to register Ferran Torres in Laliga after Samuel Umititi agreed on a pay cut with Catalans until 2024 and send Coutinho on loan to Aston Villa.

Shanghai Port is now paying a good amount of wage to him. So, there could be a problem for Barcelona to pay him this wage. Barcelona would offer him a lower wage to Oscar than Shanghai Port. So, if Oscar dos Santos wants to play in the Laliga with Barcelona then he will have to accept a less wage than Shanghai Port.
The Brazil international has left Chelsea and joined Shangai Port in 2017. Shanghai Port offered 60 million euros for the Brazilian International.
Oscar has won one Super League and one Super Cup with Shanghai Port in China. The Brazil international has also won two premier league titles with Chelsea. The 30-year-old has made 48 appearances with Brazil and scored 12 goals.
Since the 30-year-old joined a Chinese league club Shanghai Port he hasn’t won a cap at Brazil because he is not in playing at a higher level for the past 5 years.
So, if Oscar comes to Barcelona then he could win a cap for Brazil again.
Shanghai paid £400,000 per week wages and with added bonuses, it has been reportedly worth over £560,000 per week wages with contract until 2024.
