On Friday, the new film named Bagheera’s trailer was released. The film stars Prabhudeva in the lead role. The film is written and directed by Adhik Ravichandran.
The trailer of the film named Bagheera looks like it is a riff on Simbu’s Manmadhan. Remember the 2004 crime drama about a serial killer who murders women who have more than one lover? Similarly in the film Bagheera, we will see Prabhudev’s character who was slaughtering women and claimed that he was some sort of an avenger for those men who are in tears after being betrayed by women.
In this film, we will see Prabhudeva in a different look. It has also been heard that he might play multiple roles in the film. Or at least this is what the director, Adhik Ravichandran wanted us to believe.

Prabhudeva’s look was set up as a bald killer with glasses calls in order to mind the look of Sathyaraj from Nooravathu Naal. It seemed that the actor has pushed himself out of his comfort zone in order to give us a whacky thriller that was filled with usual over-the-top dance numbers, glamour and dollops of dark humour. Now, this time the film offers a new look that is expected to offend a lot of sensibilities.
Adhik Ravichandran made his debut with the comedy film named Trisha Illana Nayanthara, which was released in the year 2015. The film starred G. V. Prakash Kumar, who was surprisingly lauded by critics and the audience. Later, he directed Simbu in Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan. The movie ran into a lot of trouble after Adhik had a fallout with Simbu over the latter’s alleged tardiness. The film bombed at the box office and was berated by critics.
The film also stars Amyra Dastur, Ramya Nambeesan, Janani Iyer, Sanchita Shetty, Gayathrie Shankar, Sakshi Agarwal, and Sonia Agarwal.
