As the popular film Avatar has been confirmed for the second adaptation, so it has opened up about several new characters adding the fold while it will drop on the theatres next year, it seems that one of the newcomers is going to be a huge source of collision among the returning characters.
The actor Jamie Cameron already has four Avatar sequels on the way, with Avatar 2 that has been kicking off in December 2022. It will take place more than after decade after the original, and mainly focus on Jake and Neytiri’s family, which now contains a few children. One of these children however is not their biological outcome.
Avatar 2: Details
Empire Magazine has released a new image from Avatar 2, it debuts Jake and Neytiri’s adopted son, the spider. This role of the kid is played by Jack Champ[ion, who had been left behind the Pandora military outpost as he was very young for making the journey back into the earth. It is true that Jake has taken him, but Neytiri faces some difficult moments with a human living among them.
The producer Jon landau told Empire, “ Jake took him in but Neytiri always saw him as one of those people who destroyed her home and killed her father. So you have all these dynamics playing out.”
In this Avatar 2, there is another mining expedition that comes back to Pandora and threatens Jake and Neytiri’s way of life. They take their family and flee to another village along the ocean, leading to much of the movie that has been taking place or underneath of the water.
In an interview, Landau explained, “ The scripts are the blueprint from which we work, so a large portion of our time was writing… with the challenge that each of those four scripts had to individually resolve itself in a story that concludes with a big emotional resolution — but when you look at them as a whole, the connected story arc of all four movies creates an even larger epic saga.”
The producer continued, “I think the story of Avatar 2, and the strength of the story, is what Jim always does in any of his movies: he writes in universal themes that are bigger than any one genre. And if you think about this, there’s really no more universal theme than family. At the center of each of our sequels is the Sully family. What are the dynamics that parents go through to protect their family?”
This second film of Avatar will hit theatres on 16th December 2022. The first film is already streaming on Disney+.
