To fully immerse players in the action of their upcoming Assassins Creed Mirage, Ubisoft will provide a haptic suit. The Assassins Creed Mirage suit was created in collaboration with OWO to allow the player to experience every aspect of the game physically, further immersing them in the world of Basim, the audacious thief-turned-assassin.
With its intention to forgo many of the RPG components that have become a series mainstay in recent years in favor of the smaller, more focused action-adventure aspirations of the original game in the series, Assassins Creed Mirage will be a retro video game in some ways.
While some essential parkour elements that have gained popularity with players will be absent from Mirage, the game’s gameplay, location, and even its drastically reduced playtime will be more in keeping with the series’ early installments.
While the goals of Assassins Creed Mirage have been deliberately cut back, Ubisoft is still looking ahead by working with the video game accessory business OWO on a haptics shirt featuring Assassins Creed Mirage themes. Players will experience all punches, stabs, wind gusts, falls, and the creepy-crawly sensation of insects crawling over the character’s skin after donning the technologically enhanced t-shirt.
According to the OWO website, the shirt promises to provide the gamer access to over 30 different bodily sensations. Similar to the PS5 DualSense controller’s detailed haptics, but for the player’s full torso.
The business boasts that its Assassins Creed Mirage edition shirt will provide unique sensations that cannot be felt with any other game, in addition to the extensive list of sensations that OWO’s haptics shirt will offer. Regardless of which platform players buy the OWO haptics shirt and Assassin’s Creed Mirage bundle for, players will be able to experience the full range of OWO’s sensations.
OWO has not yet specified what those exclusive sensations are and how they will depict Mirage’s weaponry and different battle maneuvers. The shirt is compatible with Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5.
Assassins Creed Mirage is set to release on October 12 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
