The Asia Cup 2022 is set to start on August 27 when Sri Lanka will face Afghanistan.

The Asia Cup was scheduled to be played in Sri Lanka this year but due to the current economic situation in the island country has shifted the venue to UAE.
“Considering the prevailing situation in Sri Lanka, the ACC after extensive deliberation has unanimously concluded that it would be appropriate to relocate the tournament from Sri Lanka to UAE,” ACC had said in a statement.
The teams that will play for the tournament will be playing their best in their upcoming tournament and prepare for the 2022 T20 World Cup that is supposed to be played in Australia at the end of this year.
