Asia Cup started on a good note for team India as it won the first two matches against Pakistan and Hong Kong and got qualified for the Super 4 League stage. India is set to meet the winning team in the Pakistan vs Hong Kong match in the Super 4 stage. If Pakistan wins the game it will face India once again in the same tournament.
India and Pakistan are in the Group A whereas Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Hong Kong are in Group B. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the next stage of Super 4.
The top two from the Super 4 will then have a clash in the finale.
The Asia Cup Super 4 stage will commence on September 3 in Sharjah stadium and will be followed by five matches in Dubai till September 9.
Both India and Pakistan have the probability of meeting each other once again in the Super 4. Both the teams even have an opportunity to meet in the Asia Cup 2022 final if they finish at the Super 4 round-robin stage in the first and second positions.
Teams that have qualified for the Super 4 stage of the Asia Cup 2022
- Afghanistan- Group b topper ( B1) with 4 points (by defeating Bangladesh and Sri Lanka)
- India- Group A topper with (A1) with 4 points (by defeating Pakistan and Afghanistan)
- Sri Lanka- Group B runner Up (B2) ( by defeating Bangladesh)
The Super-4 schedule is set to begin on September 3, 2022. India’s Super-4 match on the other hand will begin on September 4. Whichever team wins the game between Pakistan and Hong Kong will face the Men in Blue once again on September 4. Asia Cup is streaming on Star Sports Network and Disney+Hotstar will stream it digitally.
