According to a claim from the Japanese website Mac Otakara published today, the speculated “Apple Watch Pro” will have a bigger 47mm casing size. Comparatively, the Apple Watch Series 7 comes in case sizes of 41mm and 45mm. The Apple Watch Pro would have a larger display, maybe measuring 1.99 inches diagonally, if it had a larger 47mm casing size.

The Apple Watch Pro, according to the rumour, will have a fully flat display, whereas current Apple Watch versions have slightly curved edges around the display, which it bases on information from “trusted sources.” According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the Apple Watch Pro will be a “rugged” device built for high-impact activities like mountaineering and extreme sports. The flat design may increase the Apple Watch Pro’s durability.

The flat display has been rumoured before, but the 47mm casing size is fresh information. An S8 processor, a titanium case, a better battery life, an enhanced Low Power Mode, and other innovations are also anticipated for the Apple Watch Pro.

At its media presentation on September 7, Apple is anticipated to introduce the Apple Watch Pro along with two conventional Apple Watch Series 8 versions and the iPhone 14. Pricing is still to be determined, but given that titanium Apple Watch models presently start at $799 in the United States, a starting price of between $799 and $999 seems plausible to assume.
