Apple announces the Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos support, along with lossless audio for its Apple Music application last month. To date, all Apple users are enjoying these offerings at no extra cost. Now, Android users are also getting a chance to enjoy it. Apple started releasing the Spatial Audio, Dolby Atmos, and Lossless music feature for the Apple Music Android app. But for now, it’s restricted to the beta version only.
If you are already an Apple Music beta user in the Android platform or get access to it, you can try the feature out. When you play a track, will get a badge visible on the Now Playing screen. That will tell you if the track supports Spatial Audio / Dolby Atmos or lossless audio or not.
Point to note, the Dolby Atmos support depends on the hardware compatibility. So, if you are not getting any indication of it, make sure your handset has the support for Dolby Atmos.
