Apple is rumoured to be arranging an event in the spring to unveil a new high-end Mac mini. According to MacRumors, the release date rumour is based on a cross-reference of recent reports from display analysts Ross Young and Mark Gurman. They are known for providing accurate information about Apple’s plans.

Young stated in December 2021 that a new iMac Pro model with a mini-LED display would be released in the spring, and Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman speculated that this machine would be introduced at a spring event, most likely in March or April.

According to Gurman’s latest report, Apple’s spring presentation will be focused on the iPhone SE with a 5G connection, a revamped iPad Air with an upgraded A-series chip, and at least one new Mac powered by Apple silicon chips.

He also claimed that this Mac might be the new mini-LED iMac or the Mac mini. Young now believes that the new iMac Pro will not be released in the spring and that a “summer” release is more plausible for the high-end all-in-one computer.

The iMac Pro’s panel shipments are slated to begin in June, with a delivery date in August or September. Apple is rumoured to be working on a Mac mini to replace the Intel-based devices that have been on the market for quite some time.

In November 2020, Apple updated the entry-level Mac mini with the M1 chip, although the high-end model is still the Space Grey model from 2018, with an Intel processor. This high-end model is expected to be replaced with an Apple silicon model this year, the first overhaul since 2010.

The new gadget is believed to include the MacBook Pro’s M1 Pro and M1 Max CPUs, up to 64GB of memory, four Thunderbolt connections, a “plexiglass-like” top, and more.
