If you’re familiar with Book App on iOS 15 on your Apple devices, you’ll see a toolbar at the top of the app screen that allows you to access the chapter index, font modifications, bookmarks, and search capabilities. All of this is moved to the bottom of your display in iOS 16 and iPadOS 16.

Now, at the bottom of the book interface, there is only one icon that you can tap to access the settings. When you’re reading, this decreases distractions. But no amount of tapping or sliding will make that button disappear, even if just temporarily, and It doesn’t move.

When you tap it, the Books app’s options appear. The table of contents is located on the top menu bar. You can also tap in to see all of your bookmarks and highlights. The search interface is also still present and looks to be unaffected.
