Several of the NBA players are in free-agent mode at present, and it seems like this phase is turning out to be beneficial for them. Multiple NBA free agents are securing million dollars contracts, Anthony Edwards, LaMelo Ball, and Tyrese Haliburton being among the top names. The renewals of LaMelo Ball with Charlotte and Tyrese Haliburton with Indiana Pacers, stars of the 2020 Draft, have already been completed.
Missing from that Draft was the No.1 pick, Anthony Edwards, who just signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves on a five-season, 260 million-dollar contract. The franchise player on which the Minneapolis project is based is one of the great promises of the league, and the Timberwolves do not want him to lack anything.
Anthony Edwards becoming one of the big names
The young blood, Anthony Edwards, at just 21 years of age, was selected for the 2023 All-Star team and has eventually set his standards high and made it among the big names. He has shown his class in several matches, which has helped him seal a great deal of 260 million dollars, even at this young age. And with Minnesota Timberwolves signing him on a great note, they will surely look forward to seeing a great version of Anthony Edwards in the coming times.
The shooting guard will be part of the U.S. team for the World Cup that starts next August 25 in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Japan. He is one of the big names, along with Paolo Banchero, Jalen Brunson or Mikal Bridges, among others. This is the maximum contract to which he could aspire.
