Unlike the other RDNA2 and Ampere graphics cards, if there is a card that has remained strong in the market and is available in decent amount without running out is the AMD’s Radeon RX 6600 XT graphics card.
Many might say that the GPU is weak as not as powerful as other monsters in the market. However, despite the price hike in many GPUs in the market due to the recent shortage of chips, this particular has remained at affordable prices and can also be used as a decent Crypto mining option.
Some mining tests were conducted recently that used AMD’s Radeon RX 6600 GPU to see whether this GPU can offer decent mining performance. According to the tests, the Radeon RX 6600 XT manages 32 MH/s at 55 W when mining Ethereum.
To put it simply, AMD’s card is about twice as efficient as the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060. and if the card manages to carry out a similar type of readings in mining some other cards, then the Radeon RX 6600 XT could become the most efficient crypto mining card of the RDNA 2 generation.
The video demonstration of such a mining feat was showed by Dizzy Mining, suggesting that these numbers are achievable. By default, the RX 6600 XT will reach 28 MH/s while consuming 93 W. The video also showed that when the GPU clock speed was dropped to 1.2 GHz and the memory clock increased to 2.2 GHz, it further improved the hash rate to 32 MH/s at 55 W.
This simple demonstration suggests that the cards could easily end up being the popular option for mining farms, which may end up pushing up the prices for this GPU. The Radeon RX 6600 XT is a good choice for 1080p gaming, with its Navi 23 GPU, 32 MB of Infinity Cache and 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM running on a 128-bit interface.
