Valhalla’s game size will be consolidated in this new update, resulting in a significantly smaller game size on PC and consoles. Users will also benefit from faster loading screen times and improved performance as a result of the data restructuring.
“The upcoming Title Update consolidates the game files, resulting in a smaller overall game size on all platforms”, developer Ubisoft Montreal writes. “Additionally, performance should improve with this data restructuring, with faster loading screen times, improved world data streaming, and overall runtime performance.”
With the release of next week’s update, Ubisoft claims that only the base game will need to be re-downloaded. Players will save between 30GB and 44GB of space on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, whereas only 13GB of space will be saved on PS5. We’re confident that Xbox Series S owners will be pleased with this update, as the console’s SSD only has a 512GB base capacity and only offers 364GB of usable storage.
