Aarya is an Indian crime drama web series. It is created by Ram Madhavani and Sandeep Modi. The series is basically based on a Dutch drama series Penoza by Pieter Bart Korthuis. The series is written by Sandeep Shrivastava and Anu Singh Choudhary. It is directed by Ram Madhavani, Sandeep Modi, and Vinod Rawat. The Aarya is executively produced by Vinod Iyer, Sia Bhuyan, Rhea Prabhu, Nikhil Madhok, Ranjana Mitra, and Karn Gupta.
It is produced by Ram Madhvani, Amita Madhvani, and Endemol Shine India. Its production companies are Ram Madhavani Films and Endemol Shine Group. It is distributed by Star India. Its first season was released on 19th June 2020 on Disney Plus Hotstar. The second season is on its way to release.
The filmmaker Ram Madhavani has made an announcement by taking it to social media platforms. On Tuesday i.e. 10th August on its announcement post, he said that the shoot of Aarya Season 2 has been completed.
The web series stars Sushmita Sen in the lead role.
Madhvan tweeted, “The journey of #Aarya2 has been tough, scary but fun! The “new normal” in life resulted in a lot of struggles as we chose to do what we are passionate about.”
He further wrote, “But what makes it worthwhile is the team you journey with and I am grateful to each and every one of these passionate people. Without their dedication and work ethic, we wouldn’t have finished shooting #Aarya2 safely!”
Susmita Sen makes her digital debut through Aarya, this series also brought her back to acting. It also embarked on Ram Madhavani’s journey in the web space. Apart from Sushmita, the series also featured Chandrachur Singh, Namit Das, and Sikander Kher in pivotal roles.
Recently during a live session, Sushmita Sen has talked about Aarya 2 on Instagram. During the session, she said, “I am dying to tell you about Aarya. The last schedule is left for Aarya, and it is not very long. So it should be done very very soon. With the amount of love and appreciation you have given Aarya, when we come back you have to love season 2. For all good things, one has to wait.”
